Greg Dyer
Coach Greg has been actively involved in training fighters since 1996 at the highly regarded Starrett City Boxing Club, known as the Home of Champions. Over the years, he has worked with numerous notable fighters, including Curtis "Showtime" Stevens, Anthony Irons, who secured the NY Golden Gloves Championship, and Lil Charles. Coach Greg's expertise has also led to invitations to professional training camps, where he has provided pad work to many talented fighters who have passed through the doors of Starrett City Boxing's basement.
Driven by his dedication to the betterment of young individuals, Coach Greg's work reflects his commitment to making a positive impact on their lives. He considers it his way of giving back to the community. Throughout his journey, Coach Greg had the privilege of learning invaluable lessons from Jimmy O'Pharrow, the influential founder of Starrett City Boxing. According to Coach Greg, Jimmy O's caring nature left a lasting impression on him. It was under Jimmy O's guidance that Coach Greg developed the ability to discern whether someone has an inclination towards becoming a fitness boxer or a competitive boxer.

Coach Greg's experiences have not been confined to the local boxing scene alone. He participated in an international capacity, accompanying the USA Metro Boxing team on a trip to Copenhagen. Reflecting on his career, Coach Greg emphasizes the numerous health benefits that boxing provides, as well as its role in diverting young people away from negative influences on the street.

Looking ahead to 2023, Coach Greg continues to dedicate himself to training and shaping the next generation of champions at Starrett City Boxing. His unwavering passion and commitment make him an invaluable asset to the sport and those he mentors.

Khalil "Heavy" Kearney
“Heavy” has been a part of Starrett City Boxing since age 5 and even had the pleasure of being trained by the gyms founder, Jimmy O. With over 20 years of boxing experience on both a local and national level he still trains at where it all started. He uses plyometrics, weight training, and of course the sweet science to build his boxers.
